Characteristics
Size: 1/2” (11-14 mm)
Color: Black with reddish or orange markings on the dorsum
Habits: Adult boxelder bugs lay dormant and arise from their hibernation in late spring when the boxelder buds open. The adults leave their hibernating sites and return to their host trees during warmer months.
